A woman orders a chair online, the package she received will make you LOL
“That’s why I can’t buy stuff…wait. Moral of the story, make sure everything you order is returnable,” Mariam said.
- Mariam thought she had bought a dream velvet armchair
- The chair had free shipping
- The package she received contained a miniature version of the chair
When it comes to shopping online, we’ve all been duped by offers that sound enticing. That’s exactly what happened with a woman who thought she bought a fancy velvet chair online.
Mariam, from New York, took to TikTok to share that she bought a dreamy velvet armchair while browsing – and it was free to ship. However, when the item was delivered to her, she was shocked.
Mariam showed off a dark navy velvet chair with ornate gold detailing around the back, arms and legs. The chair appears to be large enough for one person to sit on.
However, when Mariam received the chair, it turned out to be a miniature version of what was advertised. It may have been made as furniture for a dollhouse.
“That’s why I can’t buy stuff…wait. Moral of the story, make sure everything you order is returnable,” Mariam captioned the post.
Marian said “it wasn’t cheap”.
The business failure went viral on social media, leaving netizens baffled.
One user said, “I didn’t expect this.” Another wrote: “Why am I having trust issues ordering online.”
A third user added: “The real question is how much did it cost?” Yet another added, “No one reads the reviews? OMG nooooo.”
Last year, a man from Kerala who ordered an Apple iPhone 12 was shocked when he received a dishwasher bar and a Rs 5 coin in the package. He filed a complaint with the cyber police station and a case was registered. Police opened the investigation using the IMEI number on the phone’s cover. They discovered that the phone the man was supposed to have was being used by someone in Jharkhand. The man received a refund of the amount he had paid.
