As a result of this packaging update, an estimated 45 million LOL Surprise! the toys will be produced with sustainable packaging, representing at least three tonnes of plastic eliminated from the toy line in 2022 alone. In 2019, MGA committed to achieving two important sustainability goals to reduce its carbon footprint: Achieve and maintain 95% recycled or Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified content in paper and wood fiber used in our products and packaging; and achieve 100% recycled, recyclable or bio-based plastic materials in our products and packaging by 2025. While the company has taken various steps to achieve these goals over the past two years, the launch of sustainable packaging for its best selling products LOL Surprise! is the latest and most impactful to date.

The team also uses boxes made exclusively from 100% recycled cardboard, converts 100% of production scrap into production and has introduced a Go green range of toys made from 92.3% recycled materials.
• Their California headquarters, all plastic water bottles have been replaced by water filtration systems; utensils, plates and supplies are products made from bamboo or recycled paper; and employees are encouraged to drive electric cars by offering free charging stations.
