Brooklyn Block Party | Melbourne Urban List
Almost as iconic as the place where it is located, The Brooklyn Block Party is back for a fifth year for a 1 p.m. party at Section 8 and beloved, often beer-soaked Tattersalls Lane.
The marathon night at Melbourne’s Darling Alley Bar is part of Good Beer Week with the support of Brooklyn Brewery, and depending on the case, the trio have planned a hell of a day. Headlining are producer + emcee duo Man Made Mountain alongside Chicago-born DJ Muthafunk and native performance group Culture Evolves.
Meanwhile, upstairs at Ferdedurke, the team are set to celebrate Brooklyn to Queens, an all-female lineup led by Pookie and Savage the Girl.
As always with the Brooklyn Block Party, the music is only part of the package. Expect Tatt’s Lane to be lit by projection artists Simbiotic.Vision with a vintage sportswear store courtesy of Fresh Flames earlier today.
And yes, you would be wrong to think that there would be no beer, and a lot. Expect a lot from the Brooklyn Brewery gang and do your best to get there early as they’ll be tasting some never-before-seen beers that you probably won’t be able to try until this Saturday.
Entrance is absolutely free.
When: from 2 p.m. to 3 a.m., Saturday May 22
