Carvana teams up with Jimmie Johnson for 2022 NTT INDYCAR SERIES racing season
PHOENIX–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Carvana (NYSE: CVNA), the industry pioneer for buying and selling used cars online, joins forces with Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) and Jimmie Johnson in its sponsorship of the second season, providing exciting new opportunities and behind-the-scenes access to racing fans nationwide. In preparation for the 2022 NTT INDYCAR SERIES racing season, Carvana is launching new collaborations with charities that promote more fairness and education within the automotive industry, a new series of videos highlighting never-before-seen footage seven-time NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) champion Jimmie Johnson during his NTT INDYCAR SERIES rookie season and new Carvana Racing Fan Zone experiences throughout the racing season. Featuring Carvana’s iconic halo and iconic blue color scheme, the newly designed Honda No. 48 made its racing debut with Johnson at the wheel in February.

The TechForce Foundation champions students in the transportation technician industry by guiding them through technical education and careers with scholarships, mentorship, and workforce development opportunities. The new Carvana Livery design will hit the streets of Long Beach on April 10, 2022.
The American Legion is the nation’s largest veterans services organization dedicated to providing life-changing assistance and guidance to veterans, military personnel, their families, and their communities. The new Carvana Livery design will be showcased at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on July 3, 2022.
Athena Racing trains young middle and high school girls with the essential skills and career development to put them in the driver’s seat of their future STEM careers – in engineering, design, manufacturing and business – related to the industries of the automotive, motorsport and transport. Carvana Racing has one of the few female pit crew members in the industry and its new livery design will be showcased at Portland International Raceway on September 4, 2022.
Also new in 2022, Carvana gives racing fans behind-the-scenes access to Jimmie Johnson through an eight-episode series aptly titled “Reinventing the Wheel.” Follow Jimmie as he prepares for the start of the season and takes on new challenges in his career, like his first oval race in Texas and his first appearance in the Indy 500. Fans will also be able to learn more about the entire team that supports Jimmie on his quest, including the pit crew, other CGR riders and Chip Ganassi himself. Dan Bradley is the Sports Emmy nominated director and executive producer known for his impact through sports documentaries.
