Abby lee miller

Then: The founder and chief choreographer of the Abby Lee Dance Company.

Now: She appeared in the Dance Moms derivative series, Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition and Dance Moms: Rescuing Abby’s Studio. Abby first left the original series in 2017 and went to jail for fraud and bankruptcy. She was also diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma and announced in 2019 that she was finally cancer free. It returned at Dance Moms and continues his role as a choreographer. In 2020, Abby Lee officially left the series.

Maddie Ziegler

Then: An 8-year-old dancer at ALDC and Abby’s favorite student.

Now: She became Sia’s musical muse and appeared in a number of music videos such as “Chandelier”, “Elastic Heart”, “Cheap Thrills” and “The Greatest.. “ Maddie also starred in the controversial Sia film. Music. She also appeared in To All the Boys: PS I Still Love You, Austin & Ally, Pretty Little Liars, and plays Velma in Steven Spielberg’s film West Side Story remake, released in December. She also had a number of other successful projects such as a dissertation titled Maddie’s Diaries, a Morphe makeup palette and a Fabletics line.

Mackenzie ziegler

Then: A 6-year-old dancer at ALDC, best known for wishing she didn’t have to dance and could stay home and eat fries rather.

Now: Kenzie started to play and sing. She released her first album, Steps, in 2018 and has since collaborated with Sia on a song called “Exhale”. She starred in the TV series Brat Total eclipse and competed on The masked dancer.

Melissa Gisoni

Then: The mother of Maddie and Mackenzie, who considered herself the second mother of all ALDC daughters.

Now: She is still the mother of Maddie and Mackenzie (lol), and she currently hosts a podcast called Because mom said so with other dance moms Holly Hatcher-Frazier, Kelly Hyland and Jill Vertes.

Chloe Lukasiak

Then: A 9-year-old dancer at ALDC who has been described as Maddie’s biggest competition in the group.

Now: Chloe left the show after Season 4 and continued dancing at Studio 19 Dance Complex. She also appeared in a few episodes of Season 7 as a guest star when she joined The Irreplaceables team. She started a successful YouTube channel, wrote a book, started a book club, starred in a few movies like the A message and Loophole, and started college at Pepperdine.

Christi lukasiak

Then: Chloe’s mother, who was constantly arguing with Abby because of her favoritism towards Maddie.

Now: With Chloe, Christi left Dance Moms after season 4. She has since become an influencer and YouTuber. She also hosts a podcast called Christi’s sofa and is the founder of Adult 101, which is a membership with courses focused on “empowering Generation Z women around the world to take control of their lives, harness their unique talents and become the independent and fierce young woman they have always dreamed of being “.

Nia Sioux Frazier

Then: A 9-year-old dancer at ALDC, best known for the drop of death.

Now: She joined the Irreplaceables team after leaving ALDC. She performed on Brat TV Sunnyside Up and has just started a new series called Dance with Nia. She appeared on Love glory and beauty in 2018 and released a single called “Slay”. She is also a YouTuber and hosts a podcast titled Adult with her close friend Teala Dunn. She is currently attending UCLA.

Holly Hatcher-Frazier

Then: Nia’s “Michelle-Obama-lookalike” mom and the smartest mom in the bunch.

Now: She wrote a book called Moments of Clarity: Daily Affirmations from Dr Holly and appeared on Love glory and beauty alongside Nia. She also co-hosts the Because mom said so Podcast.

Brooke Hyland

Then: A 13-year-old dancer at ALDC and a queen of acrobatics.

Now: After losing interest in dancing, Brooke left the show at the age of 16 and returned to high school to have the experience she always wanted. Right now she runs a food Blog on Instagram. She also graduated from Ohio State in 2019 and moved to Austin, Texas.

Paige hyland

Then: A 10-year-old dancer at the ALDC who never had the place she deserved.

Now: After the show, she distanced herself from ALDC and the dancing, but she remains friendly with the rest of the girls. She is currently a student at the University of West Virginia.

Then: Brooke and Paige’s mother, who was one of Abby’s former students.

Now: Kelly has also distanced herself from the ALDC world and has been involved in a few legal battles against Abby and the producers of the series. She also co-hosts the Because mom said so Podcast.

Jojo siwa

Then: A 9-year-old dancer at ALDC best known for her iconic bows.

Now: After Dance Moms, JoJo’s career has skyrocketed. She started singing, acting and blogging, which earned her over 12 million YouTube subscribers. It also offers a number of JoJo-themed products like bows, dolls, bedding, board games, makeup, and even ice cream. She has written several books and appeared in numerous television shows including The masked singer, where it turned out to be T. rex. She even has an upcoming Peacock Show called The Siwa Dance Pop revolution. In 2020, JoJo was named one of the The most influential people of the time.

Jessalynn Siwa

Then: JoJo’s mother and former dance studio owner and instructor.

Now: After the series, Jessalynn joined JoJo on tour and continued to support his flourishing career. She hosts a podcast called Successes with Jess, where JoJo and his other kids are frequent guests, and has a line of rhinestones called the Bling Bitz. She and JoJo are also expected to star in The Dance Pop Siwa Revolution, a new Peacock series where they find the “next big music group.”

Kendall Greens

Then: A 9-year-old dancer at ALDC who joined the team later in Season 2 to replace Vivi-Anne.

Now: Kendall switched to acting and singing after leaving the show. She was also a member of The Irreplaceables after leaving ALDC and toured with the group. She appeared in Rapunzel: a princess frozen in time, Santa Claus in training, and a live remake of Anastasia. She has also released several singles and an EP under the name Kendall K.

Jill Vertes

Then: Kendall’s mother, who originally never got along with the rest of the mothers, but slowly became a true friend to drive or die.

Now: Since the series, Jill has appeared in The Irreplaceable: Dance Film with his daughter Kendall. She has taken a step back from the spotlight but still co-hosts the Because mom said so Podcast.

Cathy Nesbitt Stein

Then: Vivi’s mother and Candy Apples Dance Center owner / instructor – also Abby’s nemesis.

Now: Cathy is still a dance teacher at the Candy Apples Dance Center. She also has a YouTube channel called “The Cathy Show”, where she creates vlogs and participates in various internet challenges.

Kalani Hilliker

Then: A 13-year-old dancer from ALDC who joined the team after participating in Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition.

Now: After the series, Kalani continued to dance. She also started out as a model and actress, starring in the Brat TV show. Dirt. She was also a touring member of The Irreplaceables team. Kalani has a sock line at Claire’s and a ball gown line, which she helped design with PromGirl.

Kira Girard

Then: Kalani’s mother, who desperately wanted to spend more time with her family instead of spending all day in the studio.

Now: After the series, Kira moved away from the dance world to spend more time with her family. She frequently posts fashion and fitness articles on her Instagram.
