EBay customer “mortified” by an “obscene” item delivered to his home
The anonymous debtor has turned to online shopping to drown his grief after watching England lose in the Euro 2020 final to Italy. He had no idea that his actions would result in a very “embarrassing” and suspicious delivery to his home a few days later.
The man, from Coalville, Leicestershire, said he headed for bed to sleep after a heavy drinking session – forgetting about his rather unusual purchase.
It wasn’t until the next day, when he received a shipping notification confirming his purchase was on the way, that he remembered ordering a life-size sex doll from eBay.
Posted on the Spotted Whitwick page he said: “So he arrived in the mail earlier than expected today and needless to say I’m mortified.
“I was at work, so my neighbor, who just moved in, agreed to sign when I wasn’t there – to add to my horror. I’m afraid to know what she is thinking.”
To make matters worse, he explained that the packaging was far from discreet and that he was at work when it was delivered – to his new neighbor.
The anonymous buyer then revealed that upon opening the spooky purchase, he immediately wanted to get rid of it – but couldn’t face the embarrassment of bringing it back to the post office or being spotted at the landfill.
He added, âI opened it, and oh my God, it’s hideous. I don’t know what to do with it. I am so Gené. What do I do with it? I can’t sell on the Facebook Marketplace as that would involve taking it out of the house, neighbors seeing it, returning it under eBay’s return policy would involve going to the post office, that is that is, social suicide.
âGoing to the point would be double social suicide, not to mention having the police stop me thinking I am getting rid of a real body. Does anyone know if Coalville Point has a lot of CCTV? ? Maybe I could break in at night? Do anyone have any other suggestions or a box big enough to hide this obnoxious obscenity? “
