I protest! Twitter Users Share Their Craziest Marriage Objection Stories

Speak now or shut up forever, they say. Well, clearly some of these guests had no trouble speaking their minds and letting their peace go. People from social media skreets recently shared their marriage objection storiesand let’s just say we weren’t quite ready!

Wedding ceremonies are generally known for love, light and laughter. However, in this case, while the bride and groom were busy saying “I do”, these participants were busy saying “I object”.

A Twitter user by the name of @ItsJewsie sparked discussion on her account, asking if anyone had ever witnessed a sacred marriage interruptionand other followers (and even non-followers) have weighed in on the interesting topic at hand.

Most of us have probably only seen it on our TV screens, but judging by the influx of replies, each tweet has proven that objecting on your “big day” is truly a thing of the day. real life.

When my aunt married one of her baby daddies, one of her other baby daddies objected and said her reason for objecting was that she was a hoe and she wasn’t destined for marriage….. everyone just looked at each other because we already knew how my aunt was 😂

No objection to a MARRIAGE but my grandfather went to church, my grandmother was about to take her final vows to become a NUN at, on a WHITE HORSE and yelled at him to run away with him , from the doors of the church, which she did. It was Mexico 1968 to be fair.

When my grandparents got married (Mexico 1950), a woman came to interrupt the marriage claiming that my grandfather had a child with her (which was true). They asked my grandmother on the spot if she wanted to proceed with the marriage, she said yes and they were married until her death 15 years ago

3 years ago at my friends wedding, while they were saying their vows, the groom’s ex-gf walks in and claims they’ve been fucking for 6 months and she’s pregnant with twins. They called off the wedding but found out she was fucking her twin brother all the time

It’s not my wedding, but at my ex-in-laws wedding, apparently the groom’s mother sobbed in misery so hard (she hated the bride) that the bride’s father stood up and screamed “FERME LA FERME, BEVERLY” in the middle of the ceremony.

yeah. my aunt was about to marry her 1st husband? or the 2nd doesn’t remember anyway his gay lover burst into the church and shut that shit up. she eventually married him anyway. then they divorced about a year or two later.

my late aunt crashed my uncle’s wedding and said she was pregnant with his child. the marriage was annulled. he married her instead. never had a baby and remained married until their deaths.

At my cousins wedding my dad put on a dress and makeup and a long red wig and when they got to that party he ran off carrying a doll in a car seat yelling “he can’t not marry you, it’s her baby!” But that was the 90’s…
