Los Fresnos dad makes pre-K daughter’s last day of school memorable

HARLINGEN, Texas (KVEO) – A father from Los Fresnos made the last day of school even more special for his kindergarten.
Los Fresnos’ father Angel Gonzalez works out of town, so he makes sure to enjoy the time he spends with his kids.
Gonzalez had already planned a surprise for his 5-year-old daughter, Madilyn, on her last day of school.
He left their home, located a few minutes from Dora Romero Primary School, to pick up Madilyn, but he was not alone.
With him was Chocolate, one of the family’s beloved horses.
âWe have two daughters and two sons, but the daughters are very close to my husband,â said Madilyn’s mother Gladis Gonzalez. âWe all love animals, but my husband and the daughters can spend all day outside with the horses and the rest of the animals.
Madilyn’s dad and Chocolate waited in the car pickup line for her to come out of school.
“You want to tell him how you felt when you saw daddy take you on the horse,” Gladis asked Madilyn. âI felt nervous,â Madilyn said with a laugh.
In a video filmed by a school employee, Madilyn waved as she left with her father.
Gladis says they plan to do this for Madilyn and her younger sister every last few days while she is in elementary school.
