Next week I’ll be heading to Nashville, TN for the first media test drive of the 2022 Ford Maverick. While my first review goes to A Girls Guide to Cars, I’ll also be doing a review for you to find some people. What do you want to know?

At this point, we are familiar with most of the specs for the Maverick. It starts at around $ 20,000 and, fully wrapped, still doesn’t go over $ 43,000. The compact pick-up truck is equipped with a hybrid engine, so you can count on some serious fuel savings to go with these pretty minimal price tags. There is also an EcoBoost gasoline engine if you are looking for a little more capacity.

To say that people are excited about this truck is a bit of an understatement. This is a great option for people on a budget, as trucks can get extremely expensive. And it’s also sturdy enough for anyone who wants something that’s a little more the size of an SUV but also doesn’t want to pack crap in their trunk and could use more exposed space.

It also serves a pretty interesting niche, a niche that is currently only populated by the 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz. I also had the chance to drive this, so I can’t wait to see how the two stack up against each other. Hyundai kept telling us reporters that it wasn’t designed to compete with a truck, including the Maverick, but it also included plenty of spec comparisons between the two cars, which kind of forced this comparison.

But before I get behind the wheel, I want to know what you, the readers, want to know. Keep in mind this is a fairly short first ride so I’m not getting the long slice of life experience I would have with a lender. It’s mostly a chance to get first impressions and see what happens.
