World-famous toy store Hamleys opens new store not too far away
A world famous toy store that has entertained and delighted families for generations is opening a new store, just 22 miles from Swadlincote.
Hamleys promises to transport customers to a world of theater and entertainment by opening a new store in Leicester’s Highcross shopping center. It is just 60 miles from Burton for those who fancy a trip.
The store is described as the oldest and largest multinational toy retailer in the world and it will open the city store doors on Tuesday, June 15.
The new 1,800 square foot pop-up store – which has created 10 jobs – is located in the Lower Mall near the customer service counter.
Founded in 1760, Hamleys has been creating magic for over 260 years. Today there is always something to see, from flying drones to giant bubbles floating around the store.
Customers can even meet the usual characters from Hamleys, Ragdoll or Toy Soldier.
Throughout the store you will find a wide range of top brands, from iconic Hamleys Bears and super fast racing cars, Barbie and LOL dolls, as well as all the family classics, reports LeicestershireLive.
